In 1896, during Cuba’s war for independence, a Cuban mambí named Carlos Aguirre was killed in battle.
When Spanish forces documented what was found on him, they listed everything in detail.
His machete.
His revolver.
His diary.
And the shirt he was wearing.
A red and white striped guayabera.
That single detail survived more than 130 years through Cuban newspaper archives and military reports. While history remembered the battles, this small piece of the story almost disappeared with time.
The MCS2602 Red was created to bring it back.
Handcrafted in Mexico and designed with standard U.S. sizing, this guayabera is more than a shirt. It is a tribute to Cuban heritage, craftsmanship, and the men who fought for independence.
